AprilSu supports custom cashmere knitwear development for fashion brands and private labels, covering yarn selection, gauge planning, knit structure, sizing, sampling, specialty techniques and bulk production coordination.
Projects can be developed from a buyer’s tech pack, reference sample or initial design concept.
Cashmere Yarn Options
Cashmere knitwear can be developed using different yarn specifications depending on the required garment weight, hand feel, structure and target price.
Depending on project requirements and yarn availability, development options can include:
- 100% Cashmere
- Cashmere and wool blends
- Cashmere and other fiber blends
- Different yarn counts and weights
- Stock or custom colors
- Different hand feels and surface effects
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified cashmere yarn options are available for selected projects, subject to yarn availability and certificate scope. Certification applies to eligible yarn materials and does not represent certification of the finished garment or production facility.
Final yarn specifications, composition and colors are confirmed during development and sampling.
Gauge & Knit Structure Development
Cashmere yarn can be developed across different knitting gauges according to the yarn count and required garment structure.
Our knitwear development capabilities include 3GG, 5GG, 7GG, 12GG and 14GG, supporting both heavier textured styles and finer knitted garments.
Available structures can include jersey, rib, cable, textured stitches, Jacquard, Intarsia and other knit constructions according to the design.
Yarn count, gauge and stitch structure should be evaluated together because changes can affect garment weight, drape, appearance, measurements and hand feel.

Sampling & Quality Control
Sampling is an important stage in cashmere knitwear development. Our typical sample lead time is 7–15 days, depending on yarn availability, garment complexity and specialty techniques.
The development sample can be used to confirm yarn, color, gauge, stitch structure, measurements, fit and finishing before bulk production.
Quality control is based on the approved sample and buyer specifications. Inspection points are determined according to the yarn, garment construction and individual project requirements.
